My Project

I came up with something similar for my small classpes in the US: I gave students a half-poster. They brought in photos from home which I copied if they wanted to keep them. Then, they arranged the photos and texts about themselves using words, phrases, and simple sentences.

You can see two examples in the left sidebar: a students and my own. I usually try to do the same work as the students.

Portfolio

I can see using sheets of printer paper and collecting all the students' work in a class portfolio like an annual.

Class Folder

I have also had students decorate both sides of a manila folder at the start of the semester.

The folders were then kept in a milk crate for each class.

When students entered the room, they would check their folder to get their notebooks and returned papers.

At the end of class, they would turn in their classwork and homework from previous classes.

It was a useful, personalized management tool.
