Jigsaw Multiple Stories |

Age:5th Grade and Up Level: Low Intermediate to Advanced Time: 20+ minutes Language Skills: Speaking-Listening; Brief Reading Participation: Individuals and small groups Materials: 2 (or more) stories cut into sections with each section put on an individual sheet of paper. Procedures: 1. Give each student one section of a story. 2. Tell the class the sections tell 2 (or more) stories if put together correctly. 3. Have students move around the room comparing sections of the story with others. When they find students who share the same story, they form a group. 4. Once all the students have gotten into the group for their story, each group will compare sections and put the story in the correct order. 5. Once each group has ordered the story, read the origianl stories out loud to see how well the groups ordered it. Assessment: Informal observation; Comprehension test
