The above is an example of the initially way I teach students to organize their notes + images. Notice - students often can use English or Native Language sources - Depending on the student + desired skill set exercised.
When possible, students us MS Word on all drafts to catch spelling and grammar problems.
I place either final or rough draft texts beside the posters along with my own highlighted notes pointing out strong + weak points + my sentence edits - to illustrate the revision process + encourage effort.
Screen capture of the ESOL classes blog. Texts, images, and video can be placed on the blog. I also try to connect classes to ESL students in South Korea (where I used to work).
The website and blog distribute student work globally. It also connects the students to the rest of the school as members of the student body can surf onto the site 24/7.
